Bedlington Walking club starts on the right foot!

Students from Bedlingtonshire Community High School have overcome local challenges and started their very own walking club. The team of twelve Year 9 students had to secure funding to purchase walking kit and arrange their own transport, and have succeeded in running their first day walk.

School Chess Championships 2008

Sean Brand (Year 10) is this year's School Chess Champion. He won 6 and drew 1 game to come top of the 12 players in the competition, qualifying for the regional finals of the British Land UK Chess Challenge, where he scored 50% against strong opposition.
