Bedlington Parish Council donates £500 to Primary unit breakfast club,
Staff and pupils at Bedlingtonshire Junior High School were delighted to learn that Bedlington Parish Council has donated £500 to help run their breakfast club. The breakfast club has been held each morning for three years but was running out of funding. Staff at the school wrote to Bedlington Parish Council asking if there was any funding available and were extremely pleased when told they would receive £500 - more than they had hoped for. Lynne Mellor, Primary Unit Coordinator, said, "We are absolutely delighted with this kind donation from Bedlington Parish Council. The breakfast club is one of the real strengths of the school and this money will ensure it continues well into next year and beyond."
