Students across Bedlington High School have a spent Global Enterprise Week preparing Christmas parcels for children in a school in Romanian.
The students started by raising £1.50 each so they could buy essential stationary for students in the village of Garcin. Students in the village are part of the biggest Roma community in country and often 10 to each house.
The students used their enterprising talents to set up a link with the school and establish that the pupils there really need stationary.
"It's a quick and easy way to get help out there." Mrs Stephanie Pritchard, project leader told us. "Our students set up a little production line and started putting pens, rulers and other items that they had purchased into stationary boxes, ready to be shipped out in time for Christmas."
