A group of year 8 students from West Sleekburn Middle School have spent the day working as computer games designers.
The team of 20 students took part in an enterprise challenge in the new enterprise suite at Bedlington High School.
The spent the morning learning about how a mini-company works and about the trinity of management. They split into teams and worked on developing a business plan for their company.
"It was like Dragon's Den" Liam Bessford told us. "We had to come up with a company name, structure, marketing plan and finance plan. It was really tough"
Once they understood how to manage their company, the team took part in a real-time simulation, running their company in plants all over the world. By the end of the session, the team with the most net profit won.
Dylan Brock really enjoyed the session. He told us "It was great, I'm really interested in computer games, but I didn't know anything about the business behind the game, now I know how they work."
